اللَّهُمَّ اهْدِنِي فِيْمَنْ هَدَيْتَ، وَعَافِنِي فِيْمَنْ عَافَيْتَ، وَتَوَلَّنِي فِيْمَنْ تَوَلَّيْتَ، وَبَارِكْ لِي فِيْمَا أَعْطَيْتَ، وَقِنِي شَرَّ مَا قَضَيْتَ، فَإِنَّكَ تَقْضِي وَلا يُقْضَى عَلَيْكَ، إِنَّهُ لا يَذِلُّ مَنْ وَالَيْتَ وَلَا يَعِـزُّ مَنْ عَادَيْتَ تَبَارَكْتَ رَبَّنَا وَتَعَالَيْتَ

‘O Allah guide me among those You have guided, pardon me among those You have pardoned, befriend me among those You have befriended, bless me in what You have granted, and save me from the evil that You decreed. Indeed You decree, and none can pass decree, and none can pass decree upon You, indeed he is not humiliated whom You have befriended, blessed are You our Lord and Exalted.’ [ Jami` at-Tirmidhi 464]

اللَّهُمَّ O Allah

اهْدِنِي guide me

فِيْمَنْ along with

هَدَيْتَ You guided

وَعَافِنِي and pardon me

فِيْمَنْ along with

عَافَيْتَ You pardoned

وَتَوَلَّنِي and take care of me

فِيْمَنْ along with

تَوَلَّيْتَ You have taken care of

وَبَارِكْ and bless

لِي for me

فِيْمَا in what

أَعْطَيْتَ you have granted

وَقِنِي and save me

شَرَّ (from) evil

مَا (of) what

قَضَيْتَ You ordained

فَإِنَّكَ Indeed

تَقْضِي You command

وَلا يُقْضَى عَلَيْكَ and You are not commanded

إِنَّهُ indeed he

لا يَذِلُّ (is) not humiliated

مَنْ who

وَالَيْتَ You took care of

وَلَا and not

يَعِـزُّ honored

مَنْ who

عَادَيْتَYou took as enemy

تَبَارَكْتَ You are blessed

رَبَّنَا Our Lord

وَتَعَالَيْتَ and You are exalted
